The Boy Scouts gave a presentation about their trip to New Mexico where they hiked for weeks to reach a mountain peek. Brady Moy (Rob's son), Nathan Zimbelman, and James Pagliughi (Tony's grandson and Jory's nephew) gave an entertaining and lively account of their experience. Some of the highlights included the discovery of fossils and animal bones, tasting water from a natural spring that tasted like soda, and battling high winds while trying to put up their tents. We were impressed with their stamina and all they learned through the process.
After the presentation, our club presented the boys with custom plaques for them to remember this one-of-a-kind experience.

Brady Moy also presented pictures of his Eagle Project. Our club gave him money toward building it. After talking with the town about some of the projects they were looking to complete, Brady chose to build bocce ball courts at Riverfront. He said it was a long, arduous process, but he worked through it with the help of his dad, Rob, fellow scouts, and the Parks & Rec Department. Way to go Brady! Looks awesome.
Boy Scout, Nathan Zimbelman, was last year's recipient of our club's Annual Rotary Scholarship. He gave us an update on what the scholarship went to and how he is doing. Nathan thanked the club and saidhe is currently a student at UConn and is studying to be an elementary school teacher.
