Recently, Bob Lopa mentioned an old school tradition called The Rotary Tattler where he would send whatever was mentioned in the Sergeant at Arms to the Glastonbury Citizen. Well, times have changed so putting it in the paper probably wouldn't go over so well, but we are bringing it back to this newsletter! Here is a recap of last night's Sergeant at Arms presented by VP Tom Delaney:
-A happy buck from everyone that enjoyed drinks on Don Wilson from the December 11th meeting (he treated after a successful Baby Needs Drive).
-Lynn Damon was recently raffling off some of her photographs as a fundraiser for the Historical Society. When asked to buy tickets for it, the ever honest (and apparent art critic), Bill Fochi, asked Lynn why the photos were so "bland". Jackie Post won the photograph and will hang it in her blandest room in honor of Bill!
-Bill Geist recently made an appearance in a video for Oakwood Virtual Golf on The Scoop Glastonbury. He was not too happy to showcase his golf swing, but the part where he landed in the bunker was cut out!
-Phil Markuszka recently purchased a 77-inch TV and asked Bob Bentley to install it, but Bob can't hold more than 10 pounds, so Phil's wife had to call him home from work to help Bob. Unfortunately, Phil got the wrong TV mount and it couldn't hold the weight. What's the status Phil?
-During the December 11th meeting where Don Wilson purchased drinks, Mark Greer sat at the table with Jill Kehl, Jackie Post, and Sue Karp. He let them know how much he loved them (must have been the wine). Cheers Mark...they love you right back!
-Last week, some of our members volunteered to unload toys for The Olive Branch (a non-profit that helps DCF families). Sue Karp showed up looking fabulous as ever in stiletto boots, a skirt and her fur coat. The perfect outfit for hauling toys into a storage space...don't you think?
