Rotarian Lynn Damon and MARC Inc. Executive Director Kevin Zingler answered questions about a proposal to allocate $18,000 toward a Life Center dedicated to the late sisters Julie Lord and Pam McCue. The money for this was donated specifically in memory of the sisters and is not coming from the club. MARC will use the money toward whatever is needed for the Life Center (tables, kitchen accessories, home items, and more). The goal of the center is to help teach kids with disabilities how to live independently. They will learn how to cook, clean, and take care of themselves. They hope to open this spring.
Tom Delaney recapped his weekend at the President-Elect Training Seminar. Tom said there was great energy throughout the event and he is excited to take over the reigns as President next year. He said he wants to focus on grant money that is available to all clubs and some of the ways we can use it to help our own community.
