Woody has been with the club since 2008 and has been moved by how much giving back to the community has meant to him. Woody lives in Rhode Island, but makes the drive every Monday for the Rotary meetings. His most favorite memory of being in the club is when he received the Paul Harris Award.
Denny has been with the club for an astounding 52 years, since 1971. He said his life has also been greatly impacted by serving the community through Rotary. Denny shared that his favorite part of being in Rotary is the people and that he loves all the members both new and old. He joked that his goal is simply to keep up with Bill Dufford.
Bob Zanlungo is asking for donations to his Movember campaign. Money raised will go toward the nonprofit, Movember Foundation, which helps put a focus on men's mental health and suicide prevention, prostate and testicular cancers. Lynn Damon is hosting her annual Holiday Party with Santa this Saturday, November 18th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at South Church in South Glastonbury (2nd Floor). POLLINATOR PROJECT WAS A SUCCESS!
Last weekend, several members showed up to volunteer for the Pollinator Project, led by Rotarian, Allen Blake. A huge THANK YOU to Allen for organizing this amazing project at Rotary Fields, Matson Hill Open Space, and Ferry Landing. Also thank you to all of the members who graciously donated their time to helping with the project!
