It was great to be back at the Hilton Garden for the start of 2024. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent and felt...dare we say 'gourmet'...after our last experience. It was great to see all of our favorites such as Lauren the Bartender! We look forward to some great meetings here throughout the year!
Mike Ingenito has already been working hard on Lobsterfest preparations. The date is set for June 8th, so MARK YOUR CALENDARS.
THINGS TO KNOW:
Tickets will go on sale around April 1st.
As we transition into online sales, the goal will be to sell 500 tickets online this year. Those who purchase tickets online will receive a QR code as their ticket and that is how they will get into the event. More to come on this.
There will be significant technology upgrades at The Elks to ensure WiFi is not an issue. This will help with both the QR codes and raffle ticket sales.
Anyone who is the Chair of a Lobsterfest committee will need to attend a meeting after the January 29th regular meeting. Mike will go over plans for this year.
Let's make this year the best yet for LOBSTERFEST!
Please reach out directly to Bob Lopa if you know of any current or former club members experiencing health issues. We were taken off guard by the news that our former member Don Lombard had died, but we were able to get his widow, Polly, a Poinsettia for the holiday deliveries.
The Holiday Party is set for Sunday, January 21st from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at 2 Hopewell. There will be open bar from 4:00 to 5:00 PM and then dinner from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a choice of Salmon, Chicken, or Short Rib.
Our next meeting will be January 29th. We will not have a meeting on Martin Luther King Jr. Day or the following Monday because of our holiday party. As usual, watch for your email to register from Clubrunner.
